HAVING gained two successive draws against good opposition, Wellington will be fancying their chances at home to Barnstaple Town in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League tomorrow (Sat, 3p.m.).

Wellington’s 1-1 draw at Buckland Athletic, lying fourth in the table, last weekend was a particularly good result and will boost confidence ahead of tomorrow’s game.

And the club’s decision to back manager Richard Cherry during a string of poor results in the Premier Division is paying off.

Wellington could also move out of the bottom two if they win tomorrow, and should collect three points when they play bottom of the table Millbrook tomorrow week.

Millbrook are fielding a particularly young side and have yet to pick up a point, having lost all 13 of their league games.

Meanwhile Wellington Reserves, lying third in the first division of the Devon and Exeter League but having played more games than teams around them, are without a fixture - for the second successive Saturday.

Wellington A, beaten only once in Division One of the Taunton Saturday League, will go top on goal difference if they beat Wembdon at The Rec tomorrow (2p.m.). They are there behind leaders Wellington Road Dons but have three matches in hand.
