WELLINGTON will be looking to put last weekend's defeat by Sidmouth behind them when they play away to neighbours Chard in Regional Two South West today (Sat).

Wellington's head coach Graham Dawe felt the extreme heat of last Saturday played a big part in 'mistakes by both sides.'

But he added: "I thought our guys played well. The sin-binning of Jason Rowland in the second half put us under a lot of pressure.

"We played at a good tempo considering the conditions."

Wellington will be strengthened by the return of back rower Will Hodgson and second row Will Keyte against Chard who finished ninth in the table last season and won 21-19 at Burnham last weekend.

Wellington 2nd XV, who have won their opening two matches in Counties Three Somerset South, are home to Bridgwater & Albion while Wellington Under 18s play at home to Tiverton (also tomorrow, 2.30p.m.).

Wiveliscombe, looking for their first victory of the season, face a trip to St Ives in Counties One Western West, while Wiveliscombe 2nd XV are home to Tor in Counties Three Somerset South.
