WELLINGTON will move out of the bottom three in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League if they beat Welton Rovers away tomorrow (Sat).

Wellington, who will have manager Richard Cherry back in charge, are currently lying 16th in the table but are only one point behind Rovers, although they have played two more matches.

Having drawn at home to second-placed Clevedon Town last weekend, Wellington go into tomorrow’s match with confidence and will be chasing the season's double, having won 1-0 at home in late September.

And with their quarter-final tie in the Somerset Premier Cup against Larkhall Athletic coming up, they will want to keep the momentum going.

Wellington Reserves, second in Division One of the Devon & Exeter League but having played more games than teams around them, play seventh-placed Ottery St Mary Reserves at the Playing Field. The Reserves won 1-0 away to Teignmouth Reserves last weekend. Hemyock, struggling near the foot of Division Three, have no match.

Wellington A, top of Division One in the Taunton Saturday League having lost only once this winter, are back in action tomorrow when they play a5t home to fourth-placed Galmington Reserves.

Wellington Reds have the chance to close the gap on Dunwear United in Division Two when the sides meet on the small pitch at the Playing Field . Reds are lying third, four points behind United with a game in hand.

Wellington side Moortown return to action after a break of a fortnight when they visit Mariners in the first division of the Somerset Sunday League at Queen’s College (10.45a.m.).

Wellington Wildcats are home to Portishead Ladies in Division One of the Somerset Women’s League with only three points separating the sides while Wellington Ladies are away to Burnham United in Division Two South.
