WELLINGTON went down 5-1 away to Bishops Lydeard in their second pre-season friendly in three days last night (Wed).

Ryan Brereton netted Wellington's only goal to make it 2-1 before the interval.

While the results of warm-up games are not important, Wellington's new management team of Richard Cherry and Jack Porter would have been disappointed with the display against a side who lost 7-1 last time out.

"We were trying out some new lads and unfortunately one or two were not up to it," said Porter.

Wellington have another friendly tomorrow (Sat) - away to Bishops Sutton - before Cherry and Porter 'thin down' their squad for their first league game of the season at Helston tomorrow week (July 29
