WELLINGTON have been drawn at home to neighbours and Regional One South West rugby rivals Cullompton in the Papa Johns Community Cup when their league season ends.

The tie is set to be played on Saturday, April 13 (3p.m.). Any first team playing in RFU Leagues - from Regional One down to Counties Five - is eligible to enter the event, with a chance to play at Twickenham Stadium on offer for those in the Championship finals.

As with last year’s competition, the Community Cup will take place upon completion of league fixtures, to decongest the season and avoid clashes. Wellington's league season is set to end on Saturday, April 6, when they play at home to Burnham on Sea.

Wellington return to league action after an enforced fortnight's break when they play away to fourth-placed Topsham tomorrow. They will be looking for their first victory of the New Year, having not won since they beat Chard 27-22 at the Athletic Ground in mid-December. Wellington lost 27-22 at home to Crediton last time out.

Wellington are hoping full back Alex Davey, Hlaf back Charlie Snow and full back Rob Hooper will be available after struggling with injuries recently.

Wellington 2nd XV, who hammered their North Petherton counterparts 55-10 with a superb display at the Athletic Ground last weekend, are home again tomorrow - to Tor in Counties Three Somerset South. Wellington are fourth in the table and enjoying a fine season, while Tor are one place below them, seven points adrift.

Meanwhile Wiveliscombe, still second from bottom in Counties One Western West despite an improvement in their form, have a crucial match at home to Bude. The sides met in mid-October when Bude won 31-25. However, Wiveliscombe were unlucky not to come away with more than a losing point.

Wiveliscombe recently beat leaders Plymstock Royal Oaks but suffered a disappointing 50-13 loss at Paignton last weekend.

Wiveliscombe 2nd XV, who are having a tough time of things in Counties Three Somerset South, are away to Cheddar Valley who are only one place about them in the table. Wiveliscombe are one point behind their opponents with a game in hand.
