WELLINGTON play away to Sidmouth this afternoon looking to avoid conceding the double to the Devon outfit in Regional Two South West.
However, it will be a tough task as Sidmouth are leaders of the division, having lost only one of their 11 matches.
"We know it's going to be a hard match," said Wellington's head coach Graham Dawe. "Former Exeter Chiefs' full back Phil Dollman is now their player coach and he can still play a bit, although he has not played much this season.
"Although we lost against North Petherton last weekend, I still say we're not a million miles away. Defeat was disappointing after being 15 points ahead in the second half."
Wellington lost 27-19 when Sidmouth beat them on a very hot day at the Athletic Ground in early September.
Dawe said afterwards: “I felt we played the game at a good tempo considering the conditions. It was a game we should have closed down.
“The sin-binning of Jason Rowland in the second half put us under a lot of pressure. Certainly we were the better side in the first half.”
Wellington led 16-10 in the second half before Sidmouth began to turn the screw.
Wellington 2nd XV, whose game against at home to their Petherton counterparts last weekend was called off because of fog and frost, entertain Chard 2nd XV in Counties Three Somerset and will be looking to pull off the season's double, having beaten them 15-12 away in early September. Wellington are fourth in the table and Chard seventh.
Wiveliscombe, who recorded only their second victory of the season when they beat fellow strugglers Falmouth at home last weekend, are away to fourth-placed Paignton in Counties One Western West. Ed Lewsey's boys are still bottom of the division, but only five points separate ninth and 12th.
Wiveliscombe 2nd XV, ninth in Counties Three Somerset South, play at home to Hornets III who have a seven-point lead at the top of the table.
