WELLINGTON will be looking to end a run of five successive losses when they play away to Ilfracombe Town in the Premier Division of the Toolstation Football League tonight (Tues).

Wellington's player-manager Jack Porter missed Saturday's 3-0 Vase defeat against Okehampton Argyle at Tiverton because he is in the Forces and was 'called away' and could be unavailable for tonight's game.

Wellington's only point of the season was gained on the opening day when they drew 2-2 away to Helston Athletic. Since then results have been disappointing despite new signings.

Wellington Reserves, however, have started the season in good form with a 3-1 away win over Newton St Cyres in the first division of the Devon and Exeter League on Saturday, despite being without a number of players.

Wellington are not able to play home games until mid-September because it is still being used by the local cricket club.
