WELLINGTON Rugby Club will be making their first end of the season tour in years.
Club secretary Ashley Colman said: "We're planning a four-day visit to Newcastle in May when we'll watch their game against Bath on the Friday night before playing a match ourselves the following day.
"We've had plenty of interest in the tour and 30 have already signed up."
Meanwhile the Wellington club is in the early stages of planning its 150th anniversary celebrations which start in September of this year.
"We're hoping to stage some exciting events," added Colman, a former first team player along with his brother Matt who is the club's president. "At the moment we have loads of ideas and we're trying to do things in order.
"We certainly want to make the anniversary celebrations very special for the club and everyone connected with it."
"Of course, we also play Wiveliscombe at home on Boxing Day this year which is a big event in itself."
