WELLINGTON Town maintained their three-point lead at the top of the Under 16 section in the Taunton & District Youth Football League with a 2-0 home win over Galmington Dragons Hawks.

This coming Sunday Wellington will be home again when they play Nailsea United Juniors in the Somerset Under 16 Youth Shield (2p.m.).

Local results in the youth league over the weekend included: Under 12, Division One: Ashcott Lightning 1, Wellington Town 1. Division Three: Wellington United 5, Tone Wasps 3. Under 13 KO Cup: Wellington Athletic 0, Tone Youth 7; Wellington Town 1, Isle of Wedmore 6. Under 15, Division Two: Wellington Town 1, Minehead 2. Under 16: Wellington Town 2, Galmington Dragons Hawks 1.
