WELLINGTON Town still have four more games to play, including one at home in May, in South Division of the Western Counties Floodlit Youth Football League.

Wellington, lyng third in the table, play away to Wells City next Tuesday. They are away to Cheddar on May 2 and away to Winscombe on May 9.

They end their league programme with a home game against Chard Town on Tuesday, May 14 (7p.m.).

Wellington were beaten 7-0 away recently by Yeovil Town who are favourites to win the league. "We haven't played much football since Christmas, and we were a little rusty," said Wellington's assistant manager Andy Govier.

"Yeovil are a good side and some of their lads have been involved in the first team squad. One lad in particular ran the show. They have only conceded four goals all season.

"I think our lads have done very well particularly as we were top of the table at one stage before Christmas. It's looking very much as though we will finish mid-table. We never won a match the previous season. We have some good lads."

Govier and manager Joe Conway have already announced they will be stepping down at the end of the season having been in charge for two years. The club already appear to have persons to take over.
