A MAN has been sentenced after causing disruption by using threatening language in the King’s Arms Community Hub.

Jonathon Bowyer, 62, appeared in Taunton Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 30, after being arrested two days earlier in connection with an incident which caused people within the community hub to reportedly “fear for their safety”.

Mr Bowyer pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

The guilty plea was taken into account when it came to his sentencing. Mr Bowyer received a community rehabilitation order for a maximum of 20 days, and was fined a sum of £120, which would also be consolidated with other fines.
