In a Facebook post from the same evening, Wellington Fire Station confirmed that the fire had been caused by “some strong sunshine coming through the window directly onto a bedroom mirror, which caused some nearby papers to catch fire.”
No one was harmed, but the property has sustained significant fire and smoke damage to its first floor and the room of origin.
