A WOMAN has been seriously injured following a fall on Wellington’s High Street.
The elderly woman is understood to have fallen, hitting her head on the pavement outside the Children’s Hospice South West charity shop just after 3pm on Tuesday, May 6.
She was tended to by locals who came to her aid and called emergency services.
An ambulance arrived just after 4pm, which transported the woman to the Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 3.15pm on Tuesday, May 6, to an incident in Wellington.
“We sent one double-crewed land ambulance to the scene and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital.”
