ANOTHER power cut has struck Wellington amid a six-week onslaught of outages, this time affecting more than 400 homes and businesses.
A fallen tree on an overhead line cut off power to town residents in the Wellington park area from 3.10pm on Tuesday, July 15.
A National Grid Electricity Distribution spokesperson said: “A power cut in Wellington at 3.10pm yesterday affected 449 customers, the majority of customers were restored within an hour. All customers were back on supply by 6.41pm.
“We’d like to thank customers for their patience and understanding as our engineers repaired the fault as quickly as possible.
“Anyone who experiences a power cut should call us on 105. Customers can sign-up to our Priority Services Register for additional support during a power cut.”
