A RURAL preschool on the Blackdown Hills above Wellington is hoping to find two more people to serve as trustees to allow it to carry on when the new academic year starts in September

Churchinford Preschool is asking parents and also looking at the wider community to see if anybody is interested in joining.

Trustees chairman Hannah Dyke said: “This is your chance to play a key role in guiding our lovely local preschool, ensuring we continue to provide a safe, inspiring, and joyful environment for children to learn, play, and flourish.

“Become a trustee and make a difference at Churchinford PreSchool.

“We need to recruit two trustee members in order for preschool to continue in September.”

Ms Dyke said trustees would be part of an ‘inspiring, community-focused team’ and able to contribute their skills and ideas to support growth and innovation.

She said: “Help create lasting positive impact for early years and enjoy the rewarding experience of giving back to your local community.

“No experience? No problem.

“If you care about children and your community, we would love to hear from you.

“Your passion and commitment are what matter most.”

Anybody interested in the role should email [email protected] or call 01823 601309 with any questions or for an informal chat.

Ms Dyke said: “Together, we can make every day a bright and happy adventure for our little learners.”

The preschool, a charitable incorporated organisation situated behind the village hall, has two outdoor spaces and takes children aged from 18 months until they reach school age.

A spokesperson said: “We take pride in being able to offer each child the individual time and attention they need.

“We love the outdoors and enjoy growing our own fruit and vegetables in our fantastic garden.

“We also have toys and books galore, and love to sing, dance, and dress up.”
