LOCAL microbrewery Many Hands Brew Co scooped first in category at the recent the South West Indie Beer Awards.

Their brew Shadow Puppets beat all the other entries in the Keg Stout & Porter (6.4 percent and under) category to be named Champion Keg Stout.

The win at the Maltingsfest held on April 16 in Newton Abbot now means that Many Hands Brew are in line for a national award next year.

Head brewer Tom Weymouth is celebrating the win for Wellington with “one of the best stouts in the Southwest being made in the town”.

The Keg Stout & Porter category was one of the largest of the festival with eight entries from across the South West including larger independent brewers such as St Austell Brewery.
