A ‘BRILLIANT afternoon’ was how residents of Nynehead Court, near Wellington, described the annual dog show held in the grounds on Saturday (April 25).

Sixty-four dogs entered, ranging from Dalmatians to Dachshunds, with prizes for best in show, prettiest bitch, most handsome male, best rescue, cutest puppy, waggiest tail, golden oldie, looks most like owner, youngest handler, and best trick.

A spokesperson said: “The weather was just right and with lots of stalls and refreshments, everybody had a wonderful time.”

The classes were sponsored by local businesses Golden Hill Pet Supplies, Mount Vets, and Willowbrook Garden Centre.

The next Nynehead Court event is the May Fair on May 16, from 2 pm to 4 pm, offering an afternoon of good old fashioned fun with performers and stalls.
