The biggest ever student cohort at Court Fields have started term.

Staff and students returned to the classroom after their summer break on Wednesday, September 7, with 200 students from year 7 beginning their secondary school careers.

Mr Nicholls, Head of Year 7 said: "This is the biggest Year Group in the history of Court Fields and we are really looking forward to working with them all as they settle into the school.  The sense of community and camaraderie within our school is stronger than ever and it promises to be an unforgettable year ahead.”

Students were allowed to arrive at school in their PE kits because of the hot weather, before returning to wearing their uniforms on Monday.

Mrs Westwood, Assistant Head, said: "Following our successful 2022/2023 year as a school, we continue to provide education both within and outside the classroom, offering all our students The Court Fields Experience.

"This holistic approach to education means that students will not only excel in their lessons, but also engage in additional opportunities such as Careers, Character Education, PSHCE and Enrichment, which we know will support students to develop skills for later life.

"What's more, this academic year will see the continued development of student leadership opportunities, ensuring that our school keeps achieving excellent outcomes for all our students."

The school has welcomed a new assistant head to the team, Mr Whelan, with his new role focusing in on behaviour, attitudes and attendance.
