HOUSEBUILDER Cavanna Homes has celebrated a sales milestone after a new development on the Blackdown Hills quickly sold out.
The company secured the final reservations for the 40 homes on its Oak Mount estate, in the village of Hemyock, in just three weeks.
All the homes are now completed, with homeowners moved in and the community firmly established.
The development includes a range of two, three, and four-bedroom properties, 14 of which are ‘affordable homes’.
The estate also includes a green area which Cavanna is giving to the parish council to be used for recreational activities.
The company has also made contributions totalling nearly £180,000 for local education facilities.
Cavanna sales and marketing director Hannah Newnes said Hemyock had attracted a range of buyers, including people relocating from outside the area to enjoy the lifestyle and surroundings the Blackdown Hills location offered.
Ms Newnes said: “We are delighted to see Oak Mount fully sold.
“The development has taken time to establish, but it has been incredibly rewarding to see it grow into a successful new community.
“It has been particularly pleasing to welcome a mix of buyers, including those relocating to Devon to enjoy all that the location has to offer.
“We are proud to have helped bring new homes to Hemyock.”
Ms Newnes said said Cavanna would continue to create thoughtfully designed new communities across the Westcountry, delivering homes which combined quality, character, and modern living.
Cavanna managing director Keith Miller said: “Our vision is to become the most admired regional housebuilder in the South West.
“We strive to achieve this through our product design, innovation, and build quality, while maintaining the trust and respect of our customers and the local communities around our developments.
“We aim to be a company whose employees, shareholders, customers, business partners, and the community can be proud to be associated with.”
