A RESCUE dog has been missing for almost a fortnight having reportedly escaped a Wellington home.
Luna, a nine-year-old rescue dog, was staying at a home in Wellington while her owners, who are from Bridgwater, were away on holiday.
The medium sized, mixed breed dog went missing on August 10 and has since been spotted periodically across a wide area, including in Tiverton, Wellington and Taunton. She is yet to be located.
Luna’s owners have said they are working with the Dog Lost team, who have been “amazing.”
Owner Cindy Grace-Toms said: “We are all devastated and burning out with the searching.
“We are putting up posters and walking all areas she has been sighted on a daily basis.
“Our other dog Harley is not eating and is howling for her at night. He really misses her.”

Cindy added: “Our main message to the public is that Luna is a very scared rescue dog and will run from anybody she does not know. Therefore; if she is seen, she is not to be approached and we need to be contacted straight away so that a family member can attend.”
Anyone who has any information on Luna’s whereabouts is asked to visit and comment on her Facebook page where people can follow for updates or report sightings: www.facebook.com/LunaMissingTaunton
