THERE is a large scale emergency service response at the Asda in Wellington following an incident.
The entrance to the store is currently not accessible (12.30pm) as ambulance staff tend to a “medical emergency”.
Police and ambulance crews are in attendance, with reports that the air ambulance has landed at the Wellington Park playing field.
A staff member at Asda told the Wellington Weekly News someone had collapsed at the front door and they are letting people through a side fire exit.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson confirmed: “We’re supporting the ambulance service who are responding to a medical incident.”
