ONE lane is closed on the northbound carriageway of the M5 between J27 Tiverton and J26 Wellington due to a lorry fire.

According to an eye witness, a car transporter with three cars is towing a fourth vehicle that caught fire.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service has arrived at the scene.

National Highways South West is reporting delays of up to 40 minutes and around two miles of congestion on the approach with the incident not expected to clear until between 4.45pm and 5pm.
