A BLITZ on untaxed cars in the Wellington and Rockwell Green area continued this week as police seized two more vehicles from different locations.

Officers from the Wellington neighbourhood policing team were acting on tip-offs from concerned residents.

They removed a silver Vauxhall car from the newly-built Monument View estate, in Exeter Road, Rockwell Green, and a red Audi vehicle from the Priory council estate in Wellington.

Both had been reported by residents for being parked on the road without current vehicle excise duty having been paid by their owners.

The vehicles were winched onto a low-loader lorry before being taken away.

Other vehicles seized earlier this year include a VW Eos spotted in Foxdown Hill, and an Audi from the Cades estate.
