MORE flooding is expected across Somerset tomorrow as further widespread and heavy rainfall arrives from the south, the Environment Agency said this afternoon.

A spokesman said: "With heavy rain falling onto saturated ground and with rivers remaining high further disruption is likely.

"River flooding is likely with the possibility of significant disruption, particularly across Devon and Somerset.

"Significant disruption, such as further interruptions to travel and flooding affecting properties is possible."

The agency is warning people to remain vigilant and watch the latest weather forecasts.

Travellers are being advised to consider re-scheduling journeys, while there are further warnings not to drive or walk through flood water.
