One of Wellington School’s boarding houses will be used by medical staff from Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton who need to be isolated from their families while on duty.
The school’s cleaning staff have deep cleansed The Grange, which has en-suite accommodation, and will continue to be on hand to ensure high standards are maintained.
The school is providing the accommodation free of charge and will open up more boarding houses as required.
Meanwhile, Wellington School’s Design Technology department is making facial visors using 3D printers.
A Year 11 student has cut acetate on a laser cutter to form the clear visors and fitted them to the frames created on 3D printers.
These will be taken to Musgrove Park Hospital where the student’s aunt works and has requested the school’s help.
