A local care home co-ordinator is in the runnings to be declared the nation's care home 'superwoman.'

Helen Hill, who has worked as Nynehead Court's activities co-ordinator since 2019, has been nominated for the national 'Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards' in the 'superwoman' category.

In her time at the home she has put on a number of terrific events for residents, and helped to raise thousands of pounds for good causes. Helen will now attend an awards evening in London, hosted by Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh, where she will find out whether she has managed to bag the top spot.

Nynehead Court manager Joanne Fenn praised Helen as a 'wonderful and creative' member of staff. Commenting she, said: “Since joining Nynehead Court in 2019, Helen has proved repeatedly what a wonderful and creative member of staff she is. We are all thrilled that she is a finalist in these awards, she will always be a ‘superwoman’ in our eyes!”
