TAKEAWAY chain Domino’s Pizza will be coming to Wellington’s Westpark after plans were approved on Monday, August 11.

The new pizza takeaway site will occupy seven “under-utilised” parking bays close to an existing McDonald’s ‘drive thru’ unit.

The pod will be a single-storey container-type unit providing both on-site pick-up and takeaway services from 11am until 11pm seven days a week.

The site of the proposed pizza pod is part of a wider EV charging hub which is made up of eight EV charging points, air/vacuum facilities and three jet wash bays.

Surrounding the EV hub are 12 parking bays – which do not have chagrining facilities - seven of which are proposed to become the new takeaway site.

The five remaining spaces will be available for staff and site customer use.
