A TEMPORARY 30mph speed limit on various roads in Wellington around the Perry Elm Roundabout is to be put in place by Somerset Council.

Roads include Exeter Road from its junction with the roundabout in a north easterly direction; the A38 Perry Elm Roundabout for its entire length; the A38 Exeter Road from its junction with the roundabout in a westerly direction and the A38 Wellington Relief Road from its junction with the roundabout in a south easterly direction.

Works are expected to commence on June 1 to July 24 between 0000 hours and 2359 hours to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out gas main replacement works.

The restriction will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Exemptions are provided in the Order for emergency vehicles.
