Planning applications received by Somerset council the week ending July 11:

NYNEHEAD

26/25/0008/LB - CHMI - DD Erection of a conservatory to the rear of 11 Nynehead Mews, Nynehead Court, Chipley Road, Nynehead

The proposal includes a single storey extension to cover part of the rear walkway spanning from the rear wall of the property over to the garden retaining wall, to provide cover when entering or leaving via the doors from the lounge.

The property is situated within the Grade II* Register Park & Garden of Nynehead Court which is also Grade II* listed.

According to the filed Hertiage Statement: “The property is a detached 1½ storey domestic building which appears to be of C 19th origins and has been extended at the North West end in more recent times.

“It is thought that the building was originally an Engine House which was converted to domestic use around 2012, although no planning application has been located to confirm this.”

The following applications and notifications have been decided:

BRADFORD ON TONE

07/25/0003 Demolition of outbuilding and erection of a single storey extension to the front and side of The Old Coach House, Lower Stoford Lane, Bradford on Tone CONDITIONAL APPROVAL

The proposed demolition will make way for the construction of a single-storey side and front extension to provide a garden and music room.

Due to the property’s location within the Bradford on Tone Conservation Area, it has been suggested that roof lights be of conservation type, and that due to the demolition of an existing outbuilding, the potential for nesting birds and bats should have been assessed.
