Pupils at St John’s Primary School in Wellington have taken the Welly Rocks idea a step further to add interest to their school grounds.

The school’s art club has painted pebbles as ladybirds and flowers, following the success of the school’s Pebbles for Remembrance project. Pupils from the art club placed the pebbles in the flower beds and around the playground for other children to find and move – like the Welly Rocks craze last year.
Deputy head teacher Linda Roberts said: “The art club thoroughly enjoyed painting the pebbles and we hope the rest of the children will enjoy discovering them and finding new places to hide them.”
