A SHOE repair service is set to return to Wellington next week following the closure of the South Street cobbler earlier this year.

Wellington railway station housing development could see more homes addedEssentials Express, located on the town’s High Street, will be playing host to a drop-off and pick-up cobbler service from Monday, May 12, which will be operated by Taunton’s Shoe Doctor.
Steve Hough, owner of the Shoe Doctor, will be collecting shoes from Essentials Express on a weekly basis which he will take back to his shop on St James St, Taunton, for repairs. The shoes will then be returned to the High Street shop for pick-up.
Essentials Express owners Jacquie Isaac and Sarah Clark say they also hope to work with a seamstress in the near future to offer a similar repair service for clothes.
