FAMILIES in the Wellington area looking to keep youngsters occupied over the summer school holidays and at weekends can now make use of a new outdoor play area at Rumwell Farm Shop.

The farm shop, on the A38 between Wellington and Taunton, has opened the play area as part of its cafe development.

The play area has been designed for youngsters aged from one to 12 years old. It is on a safety surface and includes a Wendy house, climbing frame, slide and two toddler rockers – a horse and duck.

Farm shop co-owner Anne Mitchell said: “We’re delighted to now have a children’s play area on-site. It is something we have been wanting to build for a while.”

The area is enclosed and the only access is via the cafe. Parents/guardians must supervise their children at all times.
