EASTER Saturday saw a hive of activity on Wellington High Street with the first market of the year.

More than 30 traders set up to welcome visitors on a chilly morning where even the sun made an appearance.

Sponsored by The Freemasons and Bluebell Gems, there was an array of Easter stalls, food and live music provided by The Ukes of Wellington, and Skin Tight Samba.

An Easter lamb naming competition run by Vicky from Bluebell Gems raised £51.15 for her fundraising as she prepares to run the London marathon for Marie Curie.
