A WELLINGTON man accused of attempting to murder one of his neighbours is expected to enter a plea to the charge next month.

Anthony Northover, aged 43, of Wardleworth Way, made a brief third appearance in Taunton Crown Court on Friday (October 3).

He is alleged to have used a crossbow to shoot a man in his 30s on the estate in June of this year.

Northover was subsequently charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place and has been in custody since the incident.

He was told on Friday the case was being adjourned until Friday, November 7, when pleas would be taken.

A date for a trial to start has provisionally been set for Monday December 15.
