From then on it was neck and neck with Wellington leading 16-15 with one end to play.

Unfortunately for Wellington, Somerton picked up 2 shots on the final end to pinch it 17-16.

The away team of Liz May, Di Dagg, Janet Moore and Marguerite Nichols travelled to Somerton to play the away match.

The game started with both teams trading shots, mostly ones and twos, and the score, after 11 ends , stood at 8 shots each.

Somerton then took a 4 on the 12th end to lead 12-8. Unfortunately for Wellington Marguerite sustained an injury to her hamstring. However, she bravely carried on bowling.
