HORNETS won the Somerset Cup at Bridgwater last night (Thurs) but not before being given a big fright by Wellington in the final at Bridgwater. The game, which attracted a big crowd, was in the balance at one stage in the second half as Wellington drew level at 27-27 - and threatened to pull off a major shock. But the Weston side, who play at a higher level than Wellington, proved a little more street-wise and pulled clear to eventually win 53-27 - a scoreline which flattered the South West Premier outfit.
