WELLINGTON manager Richard Cherry will be looking to end a lean spell for his side when they play at home to Ilfracombe Town in the Les Phillips Cup on Wednesday evening (October 25), kick-off 7.45 pm.

Wellington have lost their last three matches in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League and are lying second from bottom, with only six points from their opening 12 matches.

Wellington and Ilfracombe have already met twice in the league this season with Wellington forcing a 1-1 draw in North Devon at the end of August but losing 3-1 at home only ten days ago.

Cherry's big problem has been in trying to field a settled side. He has constantly had to make changes and fielded a young team at Clevedon last weekend when they slumped 5-0 to the Premier Division leaders.

Ilfracombe are 12th in the table with 15 points from 12 fixtures.
