THE West of England Premier Cricket League has issued its structure for the Somerset Division for the 2027 season, as a result of the relevant promotions and relegations from the summer having been decided, writes David Derrick.

Joining runners-up Wellington once more will be Bridgwater 2nd XI, Chard, Frome, Temple Cloud, Wembdon and Yeovil. New to the division will be Weston-super-Mare who are relegated from the Premier Two Bristol and Somerset Division; joining also are Taunton Deane 2nd XI and Lympsham and Belvedere as the winners and runners up respectively of the Somerset League.

Departing the division are Ilminster, who are promoted to the Premier Two Bristol and Somerset Division, as champions of the Somerset Division for 2026 and both Taunton and North Perrott who are relegated to the Premier Division of the Somerset League after occupying the bottom two places. The 2027 season begins on Saturday, 1st May, and ends on Saturday 28th August.
