WELLINGTON will be looking for a hat-trick of wins in the Somerset Division of the West of England Cricket League when they play at home to Wembdon on Saturday, June 7 (12 noon).

Arron Campbell's boys are in seventh place after two successive victories - over Ilminster and Taunton Deane - while Wembdon are one place below them, 14 points adrift of their rivals.

Having lost their opening three matches, Wellington have improved considerably with their batting, in particular, looking very solid. They hit their highest score of the season - 283 - in their victory over the Deane at The Convent Field.

Wellington are playing in a division they dominated two seasons ago, winning the championship without losing a game.

Temple Cloud remain leaders of the division, despite losing by four wickets at home to North Perrott who are now in second place, only one point behind their rivals.

Wellington 2nd XI, now up to second in Division Two of the Somerset League, play away to Ilton who are down in seventh spot, with two wins from five matches.

Wellington 3rd XI, who made it a clean sweep for Wellington's three senior teams last weekend, are 'home' to Taunton St Andrews B XI in a fixture being staged at Sampford Arundel (1.30p.m.).

Wellington will also be in action in the first round of the 20-overs a side Baker Cup on Monday when they are home again - to Yeovil who also play in the Premier Division of the West of England League and are lying third (6p.m.).

Meanwhile, champions Ashbrittle will be out to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season on Saturday when they play away to Bagborough in the first division of the West Somerset League.

Bagborough are lying second, while Ashbrittle are in fourth place, 13 points behind their opposition with a game in hand.
