CARHAMPTON gained a ten-wicket away win against Over Stowey in the third division of the West Somerset Cricket League.
Stowey, who won the toss and decided to bat first, scored 127-8 in their 40 overs with opener Michael Tinker top scoring with a stubborn 47 not out from 117 balls with Heath Legrove taking 3-15, Matt Long 2-21 and Amelia Keal 2-15.
Knocking off the runs proved no problem for openers Sam Price (78 not out) and Paul Keal (36 not out) who reached their target in 16 overs.
In the only other match played in the division, second-placed Stoodleigh gained a 25-run away success against Buckland St Mary & Bishopswood.
Stoodleigh, put into bat first, hit 262-9 with Dom Vause scoring 74 not out, while James Herniman scored 49 and Paul Raymond 23. Charith Liyangamage took 4-47 and Peter Enderby 2-40.
Buckland made a spirited bid to get the runs, eventually being all out for 237 with Rob Winter knocking 43, Oli Burt 39 and Roger Kallaway 21. Anthony Vigus took 3-67, Bing Torrance 3-32 and Martyn Williams 2-21.
In the fourth division, Stogumber took another step towards the title after they beat Spaxton by nine wickets. Spaxton, who decided to bat first, were bowled out for 84 with Ross Brown (19) being one of only three batters to get into double figures against the bowling of Justin Hayward (4-15), Sam Sturgess (3-32) and J Jenkins (2-3).
Greg Mear led the chase for runs, scoring 49 not out while Tom Foley was 22 not out.
