THE troubled Taunton and District Saturday Football League has already lost a team – even before the season gets underway.

The league reduced the number of divisions from five to four during the summer because of lack of teams – and now Williton have pulled out of Division Three.

“Junior football is struggling at the moment,” said fixture secretary Tony Good. “We’ve lost a number of teams during the past couple of years.

“We ended up with only seven in the first division last season.”

Division One – Middlezoy Rovers Reserves v Alcombe Rovers,

Bridgwater Sports v The Gallery, Staplegrove Reserves v Westonzoyland, Porlock v Bishops Lydeard Reserves.

Division Two – Norton Fitzwarren v Bridgwater Sports Reserves, Woolavington v Milverton Rangers.
