SHEPHERDS REST 3

WELLINGTON side Moortown were unlucky not to take a point against stylish Shepherds Rest in Division One of the Keyline Somerset Sunday Football League last weekend.

On an extremely wet day and playing only their second game of the season, Moortown played good football against one of the pre-season title favourites. There was little to choose between the sides for long spells during the game.

James Conway snapped up Moortown’s goal to make it 2-1 with all the goals coming in the first half.

This Sunday Moortown are home to Trinity Rangers who drew with Shepherds the previous weekend.

The game on Sunday, one of only six played in the league because of the bad weather, was sponsored by Conway Cladding.
