THE Jewson Western Football League has announced a new awareness partnership with Prostate Cancer UK for the 2026/27 season — using the reach and community spirit of non-League football to help more men understand their risk of the UK's most common cancer.

The partnership continues a proud tradition of the Western League using its platform to support good causes. In recent years the League ran a successful mental-health campaign with local Mind charities across Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

Following a proposal from the board, prostate cancer has been chosen as the focus for the season ahead — a cause that resonates deeply with the league's largely male playing and supporter community.

Prostate Cancer UK have committed to provide clubs with awareness and fundraising materials, ready-made digital assets and supporter logos. Over the season, the charity also hopes to bring its specialist nurses and awareness activity to selected fixtures, helping supporters understand their risk and the options open to them.
