JOHN Norman takes charge of Wellington’s team for this afternoon’s (Sat) tough home game against Bridgwater United in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League in the absence of the unavailable Joe Conway.

Norman is the club’s youth representative and runs Wellington Wanderers Under 12s.

Managerless Wellington, without a win or point this season, face a side top of the table, having lost only one of their opening eight matches.

United have a one-point lead over second-placed Clevedon Town, both sides having played the same number of games.

Wellington are expecting a big crowd for this derby match which kicks off at 3p.m. The sides play each other again on Boxing Day.
