COCK-A-HOOP Wellington will be hoping that skipper Tom Ellis will be fit for Saturday’s home game against third-placed Bradford Town in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League (3.00).

Ellis has been struggling with a shin injury but came on for the last 20 minutes in the splendid 2-1 home win over Buckland Athletic over the weekend.

“This was our best result of the season,” said a delighted Wellington Clive Jones afterwards.

“Buckland are a good side. The lads worked their socks off and I’m pleased for everyone at the club.

“We’re in the middle of a difficult run of home games so this was a great result for us.

“The game against Bradford is also going to be tough because I rate them as the best side we’ve played this season.”
