WELLINGTON will be back in action in South Division of the Western Counties Floodlit Youth Football League on Monday night (Nov 9) when they play away to fellow strugglers Frome Town.
Both sides have yet to win a game. Wellington are lying second from bottom with two points from seven matches while Frome have collected only one point from five starts.
Earlier this week Wellington went down to a 4-1 defeat away to Ilminster Town.
Wellington started brightly with skipper Elijah chasing down a loose ball which put the defender under pressure. The clearance fell straight to Daniel who was unable to convert from close range.
The game was even throughout the first half but Ilminster broke the deadlock as a direct free-kick made it 1-0.
After going behind, Wellington created an array of chances, with Joshua rattling the crossbar, Elijah hitting the post and the ball being cleared off the line from a Zac corner and Joshua header.
Ilminster made it 2-0 right on the half-time whistle when the ball was lost in the midfield and the hosts ran through to score.
Ten minutes into the second half, Wellington again conceded a direct freekick to make it 3-0 and Ilminster added a fourth after 88 minutes.
To their credit, the Tangerines scored a consolation goal when Ollie beat his man and slid the ball through to Marley to tuck home.
The match finished with Wellington feeling they should have taken something from the game
Joint players of the match were Joshua and Zac.
