WELLINGTON will be looking to win their first game of the season in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western League when they play at home to Ivybridge Town tomorrow (Sat, 3p.m.).
The Devon side are not having the best of seasons themselves and are lying just above the relegation zone with five wins and a draw from 14 games. However they won their last match ten days ago when they beat Saltash United 2-1 away in the Les Phillips Cup.
Wellington, now managed by Joe Conway, are more competitive compared to earlier this season and only lost 1-0 at home to Wells City in their last league match. But they are 11 points adrift at the bottom of the table and would appear to need a miracle if they are to avoid the drop.
Clevedon Town, who have a one-point lead at the top of the table, are home to fourth-placed Liskeard Athletic while second-placed Bridgwater United are away to Bovey Tracey.
Premier Division fixtures: Bovey Tracey v Bridgwater United, Brixham v Brislington, Clevedon Town v Liskeard Athletic, Saltash United v Buckland Athletic, St Blazey v Sidmouth Town, Street v Portishead, Torpoint Athletic v Shepton Mallet, Wellington v Ivybridge Town, Wells City v Newquay.
