OAKE Manor Golf Club have staged the King Fisher Cup, a competition which brought together a wide field of talent across two divisions - and the scoring did not disappoint.

With a phenomenal score of 46 points, Brett Rogers claimed the King Fisher Cup, putting together a truly commanding round that outshone the rest of the field.

In Division One which featured the lower handicap players, Harry Forknall came first with 41 points, Rob Berry was second with 38 points while Richard Barker came third with 37 points.

In Division Two for higher handicap players, cup winner Brett Rogers was the clear winner with 46 points, Gareth Nation was second with 41 points while Ashley Evans came third with 39 points.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part in this year’s King Fisher Cup. Congratulations to the winners and well played to every competitor.

John Symonds won the Sunday Stableford, scoring 43 points, Neil Blackmore came second with 41 points while Connor Perry was third also with 41 points.

The Seniors played a 4 ball Texas Scramble on Monday. The winning team with 56 points were David Wheeler, Andrew Brown, Terry Burrow and Kevin Court. In second place with 55 points were John Wall, Johnathon Shepherd, Tony Fulker and Pat Francis while in third place, also with 55 points, were Nigel Foster, Phil Gadd, Meredith Collins and Ken Pitcher.

Michael Bright won the Wednesday Midweek Stableford Competition, also winning Division One, Jason Brock came second, also with 37 points, while Mathew Durbin was third with 36 points. Brett Rodgers won Division Two, scoring 37 points with Robert Cowburn in second place, also with 37 points, and Matthew Forknell came third with 36 points.

Meanwhile, Oake Manor Ladies gained a fine inter-club victory over their Orchardleigh counterparts.
