THE Terence Ball Memorial Event played over two days at Oake Manor Golf Club attracted more than 100 players.

Saturday’s competition was a pairs better ball Medal while Sundays was a pairs better ball Stableford. The scores from both days were combined to give the overall winners.

On Saturday the best score was an excellent nett 60 by Jack Jones and Sam Prior while on Sunday the best score was 47 points by Paul Coleman and Richard Cornell.

The overall winners of the trophy were Harry Storey and Logan Thomas who were 18 under par for the two days. Runners up were John Lowe and Mark Wooliscroft at 17 under par while Mike How and Peter Jeanes came third, also 17 under par. The 36 hole prizes went to tenth place and there were sponsored spot prizes on nine of the holes each day.

On Tuesday the Ladies played a Medal Competition, Janet Howe won division 1 with nett 69, Kathryn Salway came second with nett 70 and Amanda Mather was third with nett 74. Ros Shepherd was division 2 winner with nett 69, Patricia Campbell was second with nett 71 while Sally Jackson came third also with nett 71

On Wednesday there was a nine-hole Midweek Stableford. Anthony Date won division 1 with 21 points while Mark Gladstone-Smith came second also with 21 points and Mark Popham third with 20 points. Carl Puzey won division 2 with 21 points, Sam Prior was second with 20 points while Oliver Nott was third, also with 20 points.

There was another nine- hole Stableford on Friday won byTom Richarson with 20 points, Logan Thomas was second with 19 points and Neil Mason came third with 18 points.
