ON Saturday, Oake Manor Golf Club Captain Jon Ball held his Captains Charity Evening in aid of The Alfie Nick Foundation which supports vulnerable children in our communities.

The black tie dinner was well supported and the very entertaining speaker was Billy Foster a famous golf caddy from the PGA Tour. An auction and raffle raised an incredible £23,890 for the Captains Charity.

Over 100 golfers played in the Saturday Stableford Competition. Anthony Date was the winner with 41 points, Martin Adams came second in division one with 40 points while Jason Brock was third with 39 points.

The first three players in division 2 all scored 34 points but on countback Kieran Thomas was first, Ben Bailey second and Francis Barnsley third.

Amanda Mathers won the Ladies Saturday Medal Competition scoring nett 77 with Kathryn Salway in second place also nett 77 while Daphney Priddy was third with nett 80.

In the Bank Holiday Monday Stableford Competition Ashley Evans won division 1 scoring 40 points with Keith Cooper in second place on 39 points and Mark Woolliscroft third with 38 points. Ged Williams-Pritchard won division 2 with 40 points while Matthew Gray came second with 37 points and Daniel Moore was third with 36 points.

The Ladies played a Medal Competition on Tuesday, Charlotte Bolton playing off 11 handicap was the clear winner with nett 70, Jenny Musgrove came second in division 1 with nett 73 and Suzanne Ward was third with nett 75.

Ladies Captain Mary Beakes won division 2 scoring nett 76 while Ros Shepherd came second with nett 77 and Daphne Priddy was third with nett 78.

Steve Cann won the Midweek Stableford competition with 38 points, Brett Rogers was second also with 38 points while Christian Hopwood was third with 37 points.
